Gina Marie Dunns classes are a dynamic, energizing blend of focused breath and movements designed to strengthen and rejuvenate the body and calm the mind. When off the yoga mat Gina is an Artist, and she brings her creative side to her teaching, fusing a dynamic flow and intelligent sequencing with energetic and inspiring music.
A competitive long distance runner for several years with many age-bracket and overall victories under her belt, Gina came to yoga when pregnant with her first of three children in 2005. She found yoga brought her an inner peace she had only known before when holding a paintbrush and simultaneously cultivated an understanding of how athletes can utilize their yoga practice to balance strength, increase range of motion, and train the body and mind.
Gina completed her 200-hour teacher training under the Ashtanga-based Vinyasa teaching of the renowned Julie Boyd and Sanskrit scholar Cheryl Oliver, of Scottsdale, AZ., and continually studies both the physical and philosophical teachings of yoga under master teachers all over the country. She is currently obtaining her 500 hour Advanced Teacher Training.
The regular practice of yoga opened Ginas heart as she realized the benefits of yoga extended far beyond the physical, and she is privileged to share this gift with her students. Gina is a caring, patient teacher and wants to be a positive influence to her students to maintain their health and well being, reach their full potential, and increase their personal satisfaction.
